HALLOWEEN CULTURE CLASS

Daniel Endrino i Martí Fleta
Alumnes de 2n d'ESO A

Last Tuesday 31st of November, we went to a Culture Class about Halloween. Our teacher was Christina, a worker of Burlington Books (the editorial of our textbooks) who prepared  the culture class.

First of all, Christina showed us questions and we say correct or incorrect like: terrified express a feeling and we say yes or no. Then, Christina taught we different types of adjectives: adjectives ending with  -ing and with -ed. We were so thankful because we could reach the conclusion that the adjectives ending in -ing describe the thing that causes the emotion (terrifying, frightening…) and the adjectives ending in -ed describe emotions (terrified , frightened…).

After that explanation, Christina gave us a paper with 4 letters: A-B-C-D. We had to answer different questions about Halloween vocabulary and English literature relationated with terrifying stories like Frankenstein, Dracula and more novels. If you answered the questions correctly and quickly, she could give you a pen! And for the bravest person, if she or he went to the stage for answer the question, he or she could have a highlighter for himself/herself!

We think the teacher did a pretty good job. She had enough patience and character to teach us the types of adjectives. A very important thing: in this class we learnt things about Halloween vocabulary, we learnt things about English literature, and we talk and conversate with a native person of England.

And the most important thing: we had a very nice time!
